Line 1

Chongqing metro line 1 starts from Chaotianmen in the east and ends at Bishan in the west. It is the first subway line in the city, serving Yuzhong, Jiulongpo, Shapingba and Bishan Districts.

Stretching around 46 kilometers (28.5 miles), this metro line passes several landmarks, including Chongqing Railway Station, Chenjiaping Bus Station, Shapingba Bus Station, Chaotianmen Dock, Jiefangbei CBD, People’s Liberation Monument and Hongya Cave.

 Trains between Xiaoshizi and Shuangbei run at intervals of 3 minutes and 10 seconds, and between Shuangbei and Jiandingpo, trains operate every 6 minutes and 20 seconds.
